Signature Tour

Step inside the historic walls of A Wing at Crumlin Road Gaol – once home to Belfast’s most notorious inmates, now transformed as a working distillery – and uncover the legendary story of McConnell’s Irish Whisky, where heritage and craft come together behind bars.

Our Signature Tour offers an immersive journey through time, tracing the roots of this ‘Belfast Born’ brand back to 1776. Go behind the scenes of our working distillery to witness traditional whisky-making in action, from grain to glass. The experience concludes with a guided tasting of three distinctive drams: our pure new make spirit, the smooth McConnell’s 5 Year Old, and the rich Sherry Cask Finish.

Tour lasts approximately 50 minutes, and includes a McConnell’s Irish Whisky Signature Serve, followed by 3 drams in the tasting.
